Frequently asked questions
If you have anything else you want to ask, reach out to us.
Where do the bots come from?
We combine the listings from top.gg, discord.bots.gg and Discord Bot List into one directory and refresh it automatically several times a day, merging bots that appear on more than one list.
Is the app free?
Yes. Bots for Discord is free on iOS and Android and is supported by ads. An optional one-time Remove Ads purchase turns them off.
How do I add a bot to my server?
Open any bot and tap Add. Discord's own authorization page opens, where you pick a server and approve the permissions. You need the Manage Server permission on that server.
Does the app need my Discord password?
No. Adding a bot happens on Discord's official authorization page, the same one you would see on desktop. The app never sees your Discord password.
Can I list my own bot?
Yes. Open Settings and choose Add Bot to submit it. Bots listed on top.gg, discord.bots.gg or Discord Bot List also appear automatically.
How accurate are server counts and votes?
They come straight from the bot lists and are refreshed regularly. Bot developers report their own server counts, so check the bot's page or support server if a number looks off.
Which languages are supported?
26, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Turkish, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Change the language in Settings.
Is it on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Get it on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, or on Google Play for Android phones and tablets.
Can I hide bots I'm not interested in?
Yes. Hide any bot from its page and it disappears from Explore, charts and search. You can bring hidden bots back from Settings.
